This is my 2020 Diet – Week 1 check-in. It’s a new year and I hope to start it out putting the right foot forward. Then, I’d like to follow that with putting the left foot forward. Then, I’d like to repeat those two steps ad infinitum until it becomes a long walk, or perhaps

“CR-V Camper Conversion – Part 7” looks to be going live a whole six weeks after the last post on the project. Wow, the holidays really set me back. I took two days off after Christmas from work to make sure I didn’t lose any vacation time. I didn’t have anything better to do, so

“Go Away, Bitter Memory” is my latest attempt at a new homebrew recipe. I had the chance to squeeze in one last brew day for the year this last weekend, and I was craving a standard IPA, so I got to work doing some homework to come up with a recipe. One of my favorite

Well shit, Diet Check-in #15 is a lying liar! Alright, fine. It’s my fault. I haven’t been as focuses as I could be. I really let things get away from me. Should I even be surprised to find I’m sliding even further backwards. Probably not. How far backwards, you ask? Well, this morning’s weigh-in had

Diet Check-in #14 provides me some hope. I’m not nearly caught up to where I was before I started sliding backward, but I’ve at least recovered from Thanksgiving. Of course, the days leading up to Christmas and New Years will be riddled with their own pitfalls and challenges. Opportunities for cookies and treats will abound

Sadly, diet check-in #12 does not come with good news. It doesn’t come with bad news either, I suppose. It only comes at all because I’ve apparently committed myself to checking in here weekly, regardless of whether or not I’ve made progress. This week, again, there has been no progress. Well, I haven’t been making

CR-V Camper Conversion Part 6 is admittedly behind schedule. Hell, part 5 was over a month ago. What the hell have I been doing? Have I given up? Nah. I’ve been busy. There’s been a lot going on lately. Often, when I do find myself with a little time to spare, the weather isn’t playing

Unfortunately, there’s nothing new to report with diet check-in #11. My weigh-in this morning resulted in the same sad number as last week, which was an even 260 pounds. That does suck, but it could have been worse. It could have been higher. Honestly, under the circumstances, I’m surprised I haven’t just been ballooning up.

Diet Check-in #10 unfortunately comes with a bit of a setback. But wow, I nailed it. Last week I predicted that I’d not only lose ground again, but that I’d break 260. This morning, for my weekly weigh-in, I came in at 260 on the nose. I sound excited about that. Why? I’m gaining weight!
